Admissions

The UCL Academy will open in September 2012.

The UCL Academy is committed to ensuring a balanced and comprehensive intake for the Academy, and its admissions policy is aligned with the policies operated by Camden for admission to its community schools.

The Academy plans to admit 180 students each year to Year 7 and will use the Common Application Form, adhering to Camden’s admissions timetable.

The Academy address is:

UCL Academy

Adelaide Road

London

NW3 3AQ

In the event of oversubscription, places will be allocated in the following order of priority:

  1. Applicants with a statement of special educational needs naming the school, issued by or with the support of Camden Local Authority
  2. Looked after children
  3. Applicants who have a brother or sister at the school who will still be on roll when they join. This can include siblings in the sixth form as long as they are on roll at the same school, and will still be on roll when the other child joins.
  4. Applicants who are judged to have an exceptional social or medical need for a place at the school.
  5. Other applicants, with priority to those living closest to the school measured in a straight line (‘as the crow flies’) between the centre of the home and the centre of the school.
